Kenai Sockeye by Drift Boat!

Upper Kenai River Sockeye Fishing

A drift boat fishing trip on the upper Kenai River is a very memorable experience. It is a section of the river managed for trophy rainbow trout fishing and provides exceptional scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities. From mid-June to mid-August tens of thousands of fresh sockeye salmon (reds) are present in the Kenai River and sometimes our anglers start out on a trout trip but just can't keep from sampling what sockeye fishing is like on a flyrod. The sockeye salmon limit on the mainstem of the Kenai River (including the Russian River confluence area) is three sockeye per day.
